Jim Hosking

Jim’s films and commercials exist in elaborate worlds populated by wholly unique characters who look and speak in ways you’ve never seen or heard before. Take a look through Jim’s extensive reel and you’ll be left confounded by how one person can possibly invent so many new hairstyles. And boy have there been a lot of hairstyles, because since he abandoned being a writer at Mother London, Jim has gone on to become a true comedy auteur constantly busy making work that is determinedly different. But don’t take our word for it - here’s what The Guardian had to say about Jim: “Since his 2016 debut ‘The Greasy Strangler,’ Hosking has specialized in terrariums of kooks. His brain works methodically. He’s no sloppy absurdist throwing whatever at the screen to see what sticks. Instead, Hosking gives rhythm to the madness.” We are beyond humbled and happy that Jim has chosen Hooves as his Australian/NZ outlet for rhythmic madness.
